Qing Yang (Bronze Ram)TempleLocated about 20 minute from my parent's home at the northwest part of Chengdu, Qingyang Temple is one of the most famous Taoist temple in China. It was originally built in Tang Dynasty (618-907). Most of the buildings you see in the pictures are restorations from Qing Dynasty (1644 -1911). Since this is a Taoist Temple, Ba Gua (Eight Trigrams) and Ying Yang fish can be found everywhere. Some are combined with the Chinese animal zodiac. |

| At the door of Sanqing Hall, stands the replica of the famous ram. Not your ordinary ram though, it is a mythical creature with features of 12 different animals (such as a dragon's horns, a horse's face, rabbit's mouth etc). | |
