| Du Fu's Thatched-roof cottage was the residence of one the most famous Tang Dynasty poet Du Fu during his year as a refugee in Chengdu (759 -765 AD). The cottage was mentioned in one of Du Fu's most popular poems and is considered a holy place in the history of Chinese literature. The newly built thatched roof house looks very sturdy. Had Du Fu had something this strong, we won't have the famous "Thatched-roof house was torned by the autumn wind". | |
