| This was our first visit to Maui. We spent four days there and stayed in Ka'anapali Beach Hotel. | |
| Day1: | Flew in early morning; drove to Kapalua, saw a nice blow hole near Honokohau. |
| Day2: | Whale watching along the coast of Lahaina; drove beyond Makena for some snorkeling and tide pool exploring. |
| Day3: | 5 hr drive to Hana, visited waterfalls and rainforests along the way;
drove back on Hwy 31, visited Oheo Gulch (the other site of Haleakala National Park). |
| Day4: | Up at 4:30 am, drove 1.5 hrs to Haleakala National Park for sunrise;
visited Iao Valley State Park; then more whale watching before leaving. |
