Frozen in the South
This was a sudden weather change. After a night of freezing rain, the lushious southern landscape turned into a winter wonderland. It is quite an unusal scene to see the tropical plants covered with ice. As it got warmer during the day, icicles started to rain down from the trees. Ice with leaf imprints covered the lawn. By the late afternoon, the ice had all melted and it was sunny with blue skies as usual. Garden plants suffered greatly from the cold, most of the trees survived but with a grim look.
