Moonlight hiking

Moonlight hiking sounded like a great idea before we asked the host at Stonepipe Village. My greatest concern was snakes, so I was relieved when he told me it was still too cold this time of year for the snakes to come out at night. If only he didn't add: "although they like to hide in the warm sand". This made me very skittish of where my foot landed in the sand. Although the full moon provided plenty of light, and a flashlight would kind of ruin the setting, I brought one anyway to ensure my steps were safely placed.

Despite the moonlight, there were still lots of stars visible on the other side of the sky. Mountains hid behind different shades of contours. As bright as it looked, the pictures we took were not that interesting. This proved again how much more sensitive our eyes are.

After enhancement on Photoshop, some of the stars turn out.
Far less than what we saw though.
