| In the valley, the screen of mountains makes for a swift sunset. The lighting on the landscape was dramatic. One minute, you see the beautiful smooth curves of the sand dune waving across the valley floor, decorated by golden mesquites. In a blink, all that magic color disapears, fading into plain-looking yellowish plaques on the desert floor. Light still illuminated the sky behind the mountains, making them look heavier and more intimidating. |
